Rawanda Assignment

1. What factors led to the genocide in Rwanda in 1994?
The factors that led to the genocide in Rwanda was the death of the former president of Rwanda, President Juvenal Habyarimana, a Hutu. His death was caused by the plane he was on was shot down on April 6,1994. This has been blamed on the current president of Rwanda, who's name is Paul Kagame.
2. What was the time frame of the 1994 genocide and how many people died?
The time frame of the genocide in Rwanda, was during the months of April 1994- July 1994. The number of people that died was unbelievable. Most of the people that were killed, were of the group called the Tutis. The actual number overall that died in this genocide was 800,000.
3. What were some of the after effects of the genocide?
Some of the after effects of the genocide is that the Tutsi are now ruler of Rwanda . Also that even though the Tutsis are rulers or they are the government over Rwanda, they still have conflict with the Hutus. Lastly, I want to say that the people who have don e research on Rwanda find that it is impossible for any group of people to solve the issues going on between the Tutsis and the Hutus.
